City turns to Hulk after likely snub from Sanchez

Manchester City have been told to find a club record £36m to land top transfer target Hulk.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is looking around for alternatives in case he misses out on Udinese wing wizard Alexis Sanchez.
Although the exciting Chilean expressed he has not interest to move to England, it is still unclear where he will be heading.

So Mancini is now eyeing up Porto’s powerhouse forward Hulk as a potential alternative marquee summer signing.
The Eastlands outfit were preparing to open the bidding for the Brazil ace with a £20m offer. But Porto want £36m for the 24 year-old, who can play on either flank or through the middle.

That tops the £32.5m City splashed out to sign Robinho from Real Madrid three years ago.

Hulk, who smashed 31 goals in 42 games to help fire Porto to a league and Europa Cup double, has a massive £89m buyout clause in his contract, which he recently extended until 2016.

City will hope to talk Porto into lowering their demands with Hulk keen on a move to England.
Eastlands officials held initial talks about a possible deal last season before shifting their focus to Sanchez.
But with Sanchez set to snub City Hulk – real name Givanildo de Souza – has returned to the top of Mancini’s shopping list.
