Preview: Azerbaijan vs Germany

Despite eight first-team players out of the Euro 2012 tonight's qualifier through injury, Germany coach Joachim Low is hopeful that his side can extend their lead to 10 points at the top of Group A by beating Azerbaijan.

Following their 2-1 victory in Vienna on Friday, the Germans flew to Baku without eight squad members, including Bastian Schweinsteiger, Miroslav Klose and Sami Khedira.

Low told the Global Times that eight players are down with injury but he believe we are able to play this match decently.

The match will be the last of the season for the World Cup semi-finalists, and a win will give them a 10-point lead at the top of Group A.

A German victory will all but seal their place in Poland/Ukraine next year.
