Swans closing on move for Graham

Just few weeks after becoming the first Welsh club to play to the Premier League, Swansea City appear to be on the verge of breaking their transfer record with a £3.5 million move for Watford striker Danny Graham.

Danny Graham was the Championship's top scorer last season
It is understood that Watford had accepted a £3.5 million bid and the Swans have been given permission to speak with the 25-year-old as they look to bolster their ranks ahead of the new season.

Graham, who led the Championship scoring charts with 24 goals, has already attracted interest from several Premier League sides including Norwich City and QPR, both of whom also earned promotion to England's top flight.

The prospect of the 6' 1'' striker being reunited with Swans boss Brendan Rogers where they have previously worked together at Vicarage Road - also could play a role in the deal.

Despite one year remaining on his contract at Watford, Graham has been firm in his desire to play first division football and said at the end of the season he desire to play in the premier league.
