Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is putting together a managerial dream team of Guus Hiddink and Mark Hughes as the men who he believes can guide Chelsea to the Champions League glory he craves
The Dutchman has a strong relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and he seems bound to leave Turkey for the club he managed for 3 months as a caretaker in 2009.
Abramovich wants 64-year-old Dutchman Hiddink and former Chelsea striker Hughes to combine as director of football and first-team coach and break Barcelona’s European dominance.
Abramovich is a long time fan of Hiddink and not willing to give manager Carlo Ancelotti a second chance despite winning the double in his first season in EPL.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Football Federation has admitted Hiddink's future is uncertain after their latest European Championship qualifier. It is a matter of seeing either Guus Hiddink or with Mark Hughes in the blues dugout next season. There will be a great next season with Arsene Wenger finally taking out his chequebook, Manchester United to retain their title and going for the 20th, Manchester City to splurge again on some fine players, Harry Redknapp to prove again that Spurs great run is not a coincidence and Gareth Bale will continue show a making of a Superstar and of course Liverpool. As King Daglish is back to conjure the magic to bring back the Liverpool of the 90s, it is not doubt that the Reds will be one of the title contender next season.
