Pedro Leon will not be at Real Madrid next season after he was told that he would not be required at the Bernabeu, according to reports in the Spanish press.
Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho has made it clear that the ex-Spanish under-21 representative was not part of his plans for the forthcoming campaign, as the 'Special One' looks to trim down his squad.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been out of favour with Mourinho, featuring in only 14 games in all competitions throughout the season.
As reported in AS, despite limited gametime he has stated in a meeting with club officials that he does not want to leave the La Liga runners up, and is willing to stay and fight for his place.
However his wsh is not granted as the player is likely to be placed on the transfer list.
Club president Florentino Perez has fashioned deals to bring in widemen Jose Callejon and Hamit Altintop this summer, which would restrict his chances of first team football in 2011/12 further making a move away from the capital almost inevitable for the former Valladolid winger.
