Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Japanese starlet Ryo Miyaichi will be given a chance to show his 'quality' after being included in the squad for the club's upcoming Asian tour.
The Gunners will play two games in Malaysia and China during the week-long tour which begins next week.
Miyaichi, 18, has been included after an exceptional loan spell at Dutch club Feyenoord in the latter half of the 2010-11 campaign.
“He is on the plane because he is quality,” said Wenger to Arsenal.com.
“We want to give him a chance to show his quality and I think everybody will be curious to see him play in Asia.
“I rate him personally [and] it’s a good opportunity for him to show that he has the talent to play for Arsenal Football Club. He has an opportunity to show that.
“He has done extremely well at Feyenoord and we have so many good reports. It will be interesting to see him play.”
Arsenal's first game of the tour is on Wednesday July 13 in Kuala Lumpur against a Malaysia XI before they meet Hangzhou Greentown in China on Saturday July 16.
