Lita: Boro striker set for Swansea switch

Leroy Lita is set to complete a move to Swansea after they agreed a fee of around £1.75million with Middlesbrough for his services.

The two clubs have agreed a deal for the former Reading striker, who will meet Swans' officials on Wednesday to discuss personal terms.

The 26-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his contract at the Riverside Stadium, where he's scored 20 goals in almost 80 appearances.

But, speaking to The Northern Echo, Boro manager Tony Mowbray said there's a long way to go before the move is finalised.

He said: "Leroy was going to see what was on offer. It's not cut and dried, not at all. We have agreed a fee with Swansea. It doesn't mean much

"I've had a good chat with him. He has a chance to play in the Premier League and good on him. His talent has earned him that chance. If he comes back then I'm sure he will work hard to get in this team."
