Swansea have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign Benfica goalkeeper Jose Moreira for an undisclosed fee.
Skysports.com reported earlier that Moreira was in Wales to hold talks with the Swans.
And the Premier League new boys have announced the 29-year-old will be moving to the Liberty Stadium, subject to a medical.
Manager Brendan Rodgers had been searching for a new keeper since Dorus de Vries chose to join Wolves on a free transfer last month.
The Swans had been linked with a move for Poland international Grzegorz Sandomierski but have instead moved for Moreira, who has a solitary Portugal cap to his name.
Moreira though with the Portugal Giant for 12 years find it hard to leave, reveals his dream to play in the Premier League.
To be in the first Welsh club in Premier may out him in the history book if he can make an impression.
